V.A.A. donates ₹50,000 towards the 24th annual Confluence of Hearing & Speech Impaired Children organised at Kanyakumari by Anam Prem Organisation.
On 21st of September 2025, a cheque of ₹ 50,000 was handed over to Veergati Capt. R. Subramanian’s parents Smt. & Shri. R Ramachandran, by Vivek Alumni Association, towards the “Confluence of Hearing & Speech Impaired Children” which is scheduled at Kanyakumari from 29th September to 2nd October this year. Children coming from schools across the Country will attend many workshops & participate in competitions helping them enhance their core skillset enabling them to endure the challenges seamlessly faced in today’s world.
Veergati Capt. R. Subramanian, bravest alumnus of batch 1991 Vivek Vidyalaya, attained martydom while leading an anti military operation at Kupwara in Kargil in June 2000. He was posthumously awarded the Kirti Chakra , the nation’s second-highest peacetime gallantry award, for his exceptional courage, leadership skills and supreme sacrifice.
The entire amount of ₹50,000 was selflessly contributed by our Vivian batch of 1991. Special thanks to Vivian’s 1991 batch Shri. Darshansinh Jhaala & Shri. Vasant Nambidi for taking the lead to collect the said amount in minimal time
